Drugs?

In Hungary the possession of and/or using any drug is illegal. Long prison sentences for small amounts of (soft)drugs are normal practice. We advise you to refrain from drugs during your stay in Hungary.

Medical assistance needed?

At the island, there are a number of first aid stands. If you need to receive additional medical help it is advisable to call your medical insurance or you travel Insurance to ask for advice.

Lost or stolen ID / passport?

Go to the police on the island (see map) to report your loss. If you do not have another ID or passport, you should apply for a new travel document. Go to your Embassy of your country during working days and bring:

  • if available, a copy of your lost document
  • the police report;
  • 2 ID pictures;
  • Hungarian Forints equivalent to ±45 Euro.

The Embassy will verify your data and if everything is in order, they could issue an emergency passport. Depending on this verification process, receiving your new passport can take up to two days.
