The Foreign Ministry condemns the assault on Afghan President Hamid Karzai – the spokesman’s statement
| | | The Foreign Ministry was shocked by the news of the assault in Kabul against President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan. The Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Hungary condemns in the strongest terms all forms of terrorism to include this terrorist attack which used the most extreme violence to oppose Afghanistan's freedom and democratic development. The Foreign Ministry is convinced that the perpetrators will shortly be accounted for their criminal acts by law enforcement authorities. The spokesman’s statement refers to the fact that the President who was the target of the April 27 assault escaped unhurt but three persons were killed any many wounded – government officials and civilians alike. The Foreign Ministry assures the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the people of the country of its solidarity and expresses its condolences to the families of the victims.
