Education

He graduated from the University of Economics, Budapest, Faculty of International Relations in 1976.

Employment

He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1976 and worked as a desk officer at the Department of the Soviet Union, and later at the Department for Arab Countries. He served as attaché, then as third secretary at the Hungarian Embassy in Algeria. In 1983-1989 he was Head of Section of Department for Arab Countries.

Between 1989-1994 he was the economic and cultural counsellor at the Hungarian Embassy in France. Between 1995-1997 and 2001-2004 he was head of Department for South Europe.

Between 1997-2001 he served as Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Tunisia, later on between 2004-2008 Ambassador in Belgium.

Between 2008-2010 he was Chief of Protocol at the MFA
.
