Finally our page has been restarted with the purpose of providing detailed and useful information for all of your questions.

After 27 years of my diplomatic career, I took over my current position to serve my country, Hungary as Consul General in Los Angeles on June 14, 2007. The Hungarian Consulate General in Los Angeles covers 19 American States, thus everything belongs to our consular district located on the west side of the symbolic line on the map from Texas to North Dakota including Hawaii and Alaska.

Hungary, a member of the European Union, is connected with strong ties of alliance to the United States of America. There is no limit in developing further our already existing wide range of relationship. We face numberless possibilities in exploring new areas of the Hungarian-American cooperation in the field of politics, economy, culture, science, media or other side of the social life in all states of our consular district, specially in our headquarters, in California, one of the strongest economic power of the world. I will do my utmost in the forthcoming period of my mission as Consul General to introduce the Hungarian reality and to promote a positive image of Hungary in the local community and in the media.

I do count on all American citizens having an interest to know more about Hungary during my mission. I will particularly work with the Americans of Hungarian origin, the Hungarians and their organizations in the states of my consular district. The Consulate General of Hungary is open for all of you and is ready to produce common values with you according to our common purposes and interests.

Apart from our duties above, the Consulate General of Hungary naturally pays a great attention to dealing with the consular problems of the citizens. All the employees of the Consulate General are at your service to give you advices, to render you help and to contribute in solving your problems.
