Warm welcome on the website of the Embassy of Hungary in Hanoi. Hungary and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam have enjoyed a fine and friendly traditional relationship: in 2010 we celebrated the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Hungary and Vietnam.
I presented my Letter of Credentials to Mr Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on the 14th of August 2012. I came here with a strong support to continue the work started by my predecessors.
I strongly believe that beside the field of trade and economy, the two countries have significant potential in the field of education as well. Nothing to prove this more than the fact that there are at least 5,000 Vietnamese who made their studies in Hungary: I consider them members of the Diplomatic Corps of Hungary in Viet Nam.
We, I myself together with the Embassy Staff, are keen on helping the citizens of the two nations to discover each other’s countries, the beauty of our cultures, the possibilities in our co-operation, and on promoting the Hungarian-Vietnamese relations based on mutual understanding and respect.
To achieve this goal, we count on all Hungarians interested in Vietnam and on all Vietnamese curious about Hungary.
