Visas can be applied maximum three months before the intended visit. As a general rule, Schengen visa applications are to be submitted personally at the Embassy of Hungary in Hanoi, and the applicant might be requested to answer questions about the application. The date of your appearance can be arranged through the Embassy’s telephone number.
Applicants are requested to complete every question on the updated application form accurately and legibly, then sign it and attach the following documents:– a current passport which is valid until a minimum of three months after the intended departure date– a return-trip flight reservation– travel and health insurance valid for all Schengen countries for the whole period intended to be spent in the Schengen zone with at least EUR 30.000 risk coverage– visa fee of EUR 60 for applicants aged 12 and above, and EUR 35 for applicants aged 6-12 (children under 6 -free)– further supporting documents:

A receipt is issued for the visa fee paid, and a stamp is placed in the applicant’s passport acknowledging the acceptance of your application. This stamp has no legal value.
Visa applications will be processed within 15 days. In extraordinary cases, the consul may extend consideration to 60 days.
In case your application is not accepted, you will be given a written justification.
Please note that possessing a visa does not entitle the holder an automatic right of entry. Please also note that visa holders will be requested at the outer border of Schengen to present all supporting documents showing that they comply with the conditions of entry, based on Article 5 of the Schengen Borders Code.

Please note, that in case of long stay applications (residence permit) biometric data is requested to be provided by taking a photo, signature and fingerprints of the applicant when handing in the application.
