Welcome to the homepage of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in London.

The homepage has many purposes. You will find information on British-Hungarian relations, and from time to time we post reports about events, items of news and high-level visits which are important from the Embassy’s point of view and in the context of bi-lateral relations.

Following our accession to the EU in 2004, the United Kingdom set a positive example by not imposing quotas on Hungarian job-seekers. As a result, an increasing number of our fellow citizens are settling in the country for shorter or longer periods. To meet the requirements of the increased administrative and official work which this entails, we are daily developing the consular information sections of our homepage, giving detailed guidance on such matters as employment regulations, registration of births, deaths and marriages and the notarisation of documents.
