On 6 May 2008 the London Embassy of the Republic of Hungary organised a conference entitled Environmental and Social Housing Workshop, sponsored by the Global Environmental Social Business Company. Ambassador Borbála Czakó’s speech of welcome was followed by a technical introduction given by Bob Ledsome, Deputy Director, Climate Change & Sustainable Development, Department for Communities and Local Government. Presentations were also given by Márta Bonifert-Szigeti, Executive Director, Regional Environmental Centre; Anikó Dobi-Rózsa, Executive Director, Global Environmental Social Business; Alexander Hadyhiivanov, EBRD Energy Efficiency & Climate Change; and Judit Bálint, Project Manager, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEP). The presentations were followed by a discussion, which provided an opportunity for an exchange of ideas among the British and Hungarian specialists.
