Hungarian Emergency Medical Aid Kit Handed over to Thai PM

H.E. Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand received on behalf of the Royal Thai Government an emergency medical aid kit from H.E. Mr. Dénes Tomaj, Hungarian Ambassador to Thailand in the Flood Relief Operations Centre. The donation on behalf of the Hungarian Government was supposed to be handed over by H.E. Mr. János Martonyi, Hungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs, during his planned official visit to Thailand but it was cancelled due to the flood situation in the country.

Ambassador Dénes Tomaj expressed the Hungarian people’s and Government’s sympathy and solidarity with the Thai people and Government over the flood in Thailand which has claimed several lives and caused serious damage to property. The Ambassador informed Ms Yingluck about Hungary’s readiness to share its experiences in flood protection and water management.

H.E. Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra accepted with thanks the medical aid kit demonstrating the solidarity of the Hungarian people and Government. Once the flood has receded, the Governmnet will immediately engage in the planning and realizing of a new flood protection system, and will also consider using foreign experts, PM Yingluck Shinawatra said.
