ADAM GYORGY PIANO RECITAL

Adam Gyorgy was four years old when he first played the piano. In 1994, he was accepted to the Bela Bartok Conservatory as a prodigy, learning under Katalin Halmagyi. Adam entered the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, Hungary in year 2000.
 
Adam won the National Youth Piano Competition in 1998; two years later he partook in the 'Pianist 2000' award in Hungary. In 2002, he won the 2nd Prize of the Piano Competition, Triest, and with his outstanding Haydn interpretation, he won the 'Vienna Classics Prize' (Wiener-Klassik-Preis) in the capital of Austria. Adam won the Special Prize at the San Remo International Piano Competition in 2003 and all prize (First Prize, Grand Prize and Special Prize) at The First International Chopin Piano Competition, Budapest in 2004.
 
Adam gave a concert at the Valley of Arts in 2002 after which he started his Fall Church Concert Tour. He charmed the Swiss audience in St. Gallen and in 2003, he held the house of the Academy of Music, Budapest speelbound. He gave successful concerts at the New Theater (Budapest), French Institution, in Atlanta, Philadephia, Lexington, Rome, Sao Paulo, St. Gallen and Jakarta. His concert videos were broadcasted several times by the Hungarian public Televisions and his charity concert for the victims of the tsunami was broadcasted by Metro TV in Indonesia as well. Adam was invited to Jakarta in 2004 by the Ambassador of the Hungarian Republic as the best Liszt player of his age.
 
In 2005, Adam became a Steinway Artist. An honour only for the great pianists in the world.
