Security and Access Procedures to the Consulate General of Hungary and the U.S. Consulate General

All individuals visiting the Consulates of both Hungary and the United States must pass through several security checks. An initial check is required on the ground floor stairwell entrance. A subsequent check may be required upon entry to either respective Consulate office space. Security checks ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Prohibited Items:

Visitors are prohibited from entering the premises with the following items:

• Firearms

• Chemicals

• Bladed weapons

• Batons

• Any other item which security personnel deem harmful or hazardous

• Large travel bags, backpacks and briefcases


Restricted Items:

Visitors are prohibited from entering the premises with the following items, unless otherwise approved in advance:

• Cell Phones

• Cameras or devices containing cameras

• Audio Recording Devices

• Computers or any other computer peripherals

• Digital Storage Devices

• Radios

Note: All U.S. Consulate visitor items will be stored on 1st Floor. All Hungarian Consulate visitor items will be stored on the 2nd Floor.

Personal items should be deposited in designated visitor storage lockers. The Hungarian and/or U.S. Consulates accept no responsibility for items missing, damaged, or abandoned.
