Basic information notices for visa applicants

The Hungarian Embassy requests visa applicants to consider the following notices:

  1. All question tags have to be filled by the applicants on the application sheet. While stressing that no question tags should remain empty we underline the special importance of the followings: type of visa, number of days requested, date of arrival, date of departure, applicant’s contact details. In case of unanswered questions the Embassy cannot guarantee the processing of the application.

  1. Special consideration should be given to the attachements -
    • In case of business visa: official invitation letter from Hungary is essential,
    • In case of delegations (sport, cultural, professional): a recommendation from relevant Pakistani authorities is strongly recommended,
    • In case of all applications: travel insurance, bank statement (if applicable), proof of a flight booking are required.

  1. Applicants should be aware of time constraints: the minimum span of time to process a visa is 30 days (that is 30 days prior to the date of arrival in Hungary as indicated in the application). In case applicants submit their application within 30 days, the Embassy cannot guarantee the processing of the application.

  1. Applicants should prepare to be invited for a consular interview. Repeated failure to take part in an interview will result in visa refusal.

  1. Anyone who is rejected a visa will receive a stamp in the passport indicating that the applicant has applied for a visa at the Hungarian Embassy in Islamabad.

  1. In case of queues, applicants are kindly requested to wait outside of the Embassy compound until they are escorted to the interview room.
