On Thursday the 6th of November the film “No Mercy” by the Hungarian cinematographer Elemér Ragályi will be shown in Duikers Derde Ambachtsschool in The Hague. Mr Ragályi will be here as well to give an explanation on his film.
No Mercy
Based on actual events, cinematographer Elemér Ragályi's film evokes the Pusoma case, a recent murder trial with a tragic end. Falsely accused, the protagonist of No Mercy spent years in preliminary custody and then in prison before being cleared of the charges against him. While cases like these may also occur in better-tempered societies, in badly operating unorganized societies without clear legislation, it may be part of the deal. No Mercy is no thesis drama, but life in its dense self.
