Exhibition of Eva Mendlik

On 6th June 2008 an exhibition of sculptor Eva Mendlik was opened in Amsterdam. The exhibition was organised in the building of Arti et Amicitiae on the occasion of her 80th anniversary.

Eva Mendlik, granddaughter of Oscar Mendlik painter, was born in the Netherlands but has Hungarian origins. She graduated at the Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam and was also educated in Belgium, Italy and France. Her sculptures are made of wood, bronze and copper.

Besides her family and friends, as a sign of her strong attachment to Hungary, many Hungarian organisations took part at the opening of the exhibition, among them the Hungarian Embassy.
