The Meeting of the Ambassador with the President of the Republic of Moldova

On April 4th, 2012 H.E. Mr Nicolae Timofti, President of the Republic of Moldova, received H.E. dr György Varga, Ambassador of Hungary in Chisinau. The ambassador expressed his best wishes on the occasion of Mr Timofti’s election as President of the Republic of Moldova. Dr György Varga underlined that Hungary was among the first countries which recognized the independent Republic of Moldova and opened its embassy in Chisinau. Hungary is one of the most active EU member states supporting the integration process of Moldova with the European Union. Ambassador gave a brief overview about the recent events and current cooperation projects in the Hungarian - Moldovan relations. H. E. Mr Nicolae Timofti expressed his thanks that the Hungarian Prime Minister, Mr Victor Orban was among the first to congratulate him on his election as President of the Republic of Moldova. He emphasized that he considers it as most important to fulfil the governing coalition’s program for the European integration.
