The working visit of the Prime Minister of Hungary Mr. Ferenc Gyurcsány

On November 28 the Prime Minister of the Republic of Hungary Mr. Ferenc Gyurcsány paid a working visit to the Republic of Moldova. During his visit to Chişinău he met the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Ms. Zinaida Greceanîî and was received by President Vladimir Voronin.

In the course of the meeting with the Moldovan officials the present stage of bilateral relations was highly appreciated. Ferenc Gyurcsány mentioned the positive social and economic evolutions, which Moldova has recorded over the last three years and said that his country will further support Moldova to fulfil its European integration aspirations.

President Vladimir Voronin declared that the state's authorities are presently concerned with the achievement of the goals regarding the liberalisation of the visa regime for the Moldovan citizens in the EU countries and the free trade with the European Union.

President Vladimir Voronin and Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanîî thanked the Hungarian authorities for ensuring an efficient work of the Common Application Centre. They also emphasised the importance of the activity of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM), headed by the representative of Hungary, General Ferenc Banfi.

On November 28 the Prime Minister of Hungary Mr. Ferenc Gyurcsány visited the renovated Common Application Centre in the premises of the Embassy of Hungary in the Republic of Moldova.
