On June 4, 2008, took place the meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary Dr. György Varga and the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Mr. Marian Lupu.

The President of the Moldovan Parliament greeted the Ambassador of Hungary in Moldova and congratulated him with the beginning of his mission. Mr. Lupu informed Mr. Varga about Moldova’s intentions concerning the activities planned by the Parliaments of Moldova and Hungary for the ongoing year.

During the meeting was also discussed the preparation process of the EU Twinning Project, in which the Senate of France and the Parliament of Hungary take part. Ambassador György Varga informed Speaker Marian Lupu that soon the local coordinator of this Project from the Parliament of Hungary would arrive to Moldova for a two-year term in order to coordinate the project in the name of the French and Hungarian curators.
