On Monday, May 26, 2008, took place the first meeting between the newly arrived Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the Republic of Moldova, Dr. György Varga, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Andrei Stratan.

During the meeting Ambassador Varga handed to the Minister the copy of the accreditation letters. The Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary conveyed to Mr. Andrei Stratan the best wishes of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Ms. Kinga Göncz. H.E. Dr. György Varga informed the Minister about the visits that are being prepared on the highest level, as well as about the projects of the official Hungarian program for the support of the development of Moldovan reforms. The Ambassador briefed Minister Stratan about the increasing work experience of the Common Application Centre and the plans for its enlargement.

H.E. Mr. Andrei Stratan, in his turn, greeted H.E. Dr. György Varga in Moldova and, noting the high level of the bilateral relations between Moldova and Hungary, expressed his hope for the future support from Hungary to Moldova’s European integration.
