IMPORTANT NOTICE: Holders of Macedonian biometric passports can travel visa free to the Schengen Zone for stays under 90 days as of 19. December 2009.Holders of non-biometric passports are obliged to apply for a visa for Schengen entry.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR KOSOVO CITIZENS: Only those holders of Kosovo passports are eligible to apply for a Schengen visa at our Embassy who can present a valid Macedonian residence permit.
INFORMATION FOR VISA APPLICANTS:
The short and long-term visa applications for HUNGARY and the short-term visa applications for LITHUANIA / ESTONIA are to be submitted PERSONALLY at the Embassy of Hungary in Skopje with the below mentioned documents:
Visa applicants need an individual medical travel insurance that should cover:
status verification:
a) pupils, high school scholars, students(certificate from the school, certificate from the university and a student index)
b) employed (M1/M2 or a employment contract)
c) unemployed (certificate from the state authority that the person is on welfare (CSD, municipality))
d) retired persons (last certificate on retirement allowance that will serve as certificate on sufficient means)
e) freelance professions (certificate on artists’ association or certificate form the ministry of Culture)
f) sportsmen (registry or certificate of the Ministry of Sports)
g) drivers conducting international cargo (M1/M2, valid driver’s license, green card, CMR, CEMT)
h) businessmen (M1/M2, agreement on mutual cooperation, registry of the company and financial reports)
i) journalists (press card)
§ certificate confirming the purpose of travel – these are only general guidelines!
§ pupils, high school, university students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers, professors that will participate in study programs or professional training, student exchange programs or other educational training activities:
applicants participating in scientific, research, cultural and artistic activities as well as university and other programs that the individual is to take part of:
Exceptional permits
a) minors traveling alone
- certificate of approval from both parents, legal guardians (attested by a notary), for children a letter of consonance verified by the police
b) minors traveling with one of the parents
- certificate of approval from the other parent (attested by a notary), for small children a letter of consonance verified by the police
ATTENTION:
The Embassy reserves itself the right request for additional documents if necessary.
The submitted documents are not to be given back.
The granting of a visa is not guaranteed even if all requested documents are submitted.
The application fee is not reimbursed in case the visa is not granted.
Keep in mind that the signing the application means that all the information is correct and complete. Pay attentions especially in case that someone else is helping you in filling out the forms.
Every individual case is evaluated separately and is not be compared with any other cases.
Please apply for the visa on reasonable time before the planned travel. However, you cannot apply more than three months in advance before the planned trip to Schengen area.
How and where do I pay for consular services?
The Embassy does not handle cash. Payments are to be arranged through checks provided by the Embassy during office hours. The checks are to be paid at any „Komercijalna Banka” bank office in Macedonia. Please make sure to have a copy of your passport when visiting the bank.
Hungarian Residence Permit
The foreigners intending to stay more than 3 months in Hungary may apply for resident permit at the Consulate. Information on residence permits as well as the „EU Blue Card” may be found on the following website: www.bmbah.hu.
