Schengen visa condition list

For presenting a visa application appointment is required - applying for appointment only via phone number: 961-76-540233
Open on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10:00 till 12:00.

• Personal presence
• Duly completed and signed application form visa application form
• 1 Recent coloured passport photograph with a light coloured background, frontal view (3,5 x 4,5 cm)
• Original passport with a validity exceeding three  months after your scheduled return + previous passports
• Photocopy of passport(s) and previous visas  (Schengen, USA, UK, Canada, Switzerland)
• Travel insurance covering Schengen countries with a minimum coverage of  € 30.000,-- for  :
• Medical treatment
• Emergency admission to hospital
• Repatriation
• 60 € , representing the procedure fee, and not paid back  in case of refusal or cancellation of the trip; fee should be paid to the account of the Embassy (at the bank LBP, USD, EUR are accepted)
• The processing of the visa requires a minimum of 15 days, after the completion of all the documents and payment of the fee
• All papers presented in Arabic should be accompanied by a translation into French or English

Evidence of destination / host:

• Invitation for business trip
• Certified invitation / warranty + photocopy of European I.D./residence permit of your host
• Conference registration, proof of payment
• Confirmed Hotel reservation, apartment lease agreement
• Flight reservations
• Airline ticket only upon delivery of visa
• In case of travel by car: International driving licence + car registration papers
• For transit visa : photocopy of visa  / residence permit of your final destination

Evidence on professional background:

• For self employed persons        : recent proof of registration of your company + commercial circular

: commercial documents (invoices, shipping documents, local customs receipts, etc.)

• For free professions                   : syndicate card + proof of current practice
• For employees                            : employment letter including date of employment, attestation of salary, duration of leave

  and employers guarantee of resuming functions after return to Lebanon
: commercial circular of person signing your job letter
: social security card
: warranty of your employer in case of professional trip

• For students                                 : university certificate + university ID card

Evidence of your financial means:

• Statement of your bank account (over the last 3 months), stamped and signed by two bank officials
• International credit cards
• Savings book
• Proof of retirement benefits, original
• Deeds of real estate property in Lebanon / Europe
• For students                 : parental warranty including proof of professional background + financial means of the parent

Personal evidence:

• Copy of identity card
• For minors: parental consent  + school certificate
• For foreigners: residence permit / return permit + work permit

Other evidence:
The foregoing is not an exhaustive list, each applicant may be asked to provide additional proof.

All requested evidence must be produced in original and photocopy. However, handing in a complete set of documentation does not guarantee the delivery of the requested visa.
Please be advised that the possession of a valid Schengen visa does not grant an irrevocable right of entry to or temporary stay in the territory of the Schengen member states. You may as well be required to present certain evidence again upon entry at the border post.
Persons in possession of currency reaching or exceeding HUF 1 million are obliged to make a declaration to the Customs authorities both upon entering and leaving the country.
