Dear Visitor!

We are honored that you visited our website. We would be pleased to be able to help you in answering your questions on the Hungarian-Kazakh political, economic, cultural and diplomatic relations.

Hungary and Kazakhstan have manifold relations, which are rapidly developing in almost every area. As a result of the consistent building of relationships in the years since Kazakhstan gained independence a number of top level visits took place between our countries. An apparent sign of Hungary’s attention towards this vast Central Asian country was that dr. Pál Schmitt, President of the Republic of Hungary led the Hungarian delegation in December 2010 at the OSCE summit in Astana. The increasing interest in each other’s country is mutual: working in Kazakhstan we can feel the manifested sympathy to Hungary in our everyday work. One of the positive developments is the unique historic character of the Hungarian-Kazakh relations, particularly the common Kipchak-Kun origin, which came to the forefront of the social and scientific interest.

I am personally convinced that Kazakhstan is the country to be explored and of promising relations: its enormous size, abundant natural resources, industrial potential of innovation and the multinational cultural diversity present a unique opportunity for the interested Hungarian fellow countrymen to become a partner in Kazakhstan. I consider it important that all those who think likewise not only about the present and the future of the Hungarian-Kazakh relationships, but also wish to develop cooperation between the two countries will have the opportunity to regularly use the content of this service. I hope that through this website we can contribute to the strengthening of the traditional friendly relations between the two peoples and the two countries. Relying on our diplomatic presence in Kazakhstan, and on the main interests of the host country’s nationals, the information content on our website should represent a good starting point for business and private visitors alike.
