as the Ambassador of Hungary I welcome you on the homepage of our Embassy.

The relations between Hungary and the Republic of Korea look back upon a short history.

Our country was the first among the Eastern-Middle-Europian countries to estabilish a full range of diplomatic relations with South Korea on February 1st, 1989. Taking into account the results from this period, we can confirm that it has been a success story between our two countries. We started with very little, but we have now since developed a relationship which is far reaching.

The cooperation we have built up together is based on a firm institutional basis with common values. This natural liking is bonded by relative languages originating out of a distant relationship.

I hope that our homepage offers you, and everyone, enough infomation who wish to enquire about Hungary, its bilateral relationship, and the conditions of traveling to the Republic of Korea.
