The seat of this Mission is in Kenya, the financial, business and infrastructural hub of the East-African region and seat of two global Programmes of the United Nations, the Environmental Programme (UNEP) and the Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT). The Nairobi Embassy of Hungary covers through the accreditation of the Ambassador, four other countries in the region: Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Djibouti. The Embassy supervises the activities of the Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Hungary in the accredited countries, as well as in Mauritius and Seychelles. We provide all the contact information of these consular officers on our website, so if you are a Hungarian citizen in distress or in need of other consular services in these countries, your first point of contact should be the Hungarian Honorary Consul. If you are a citizen of or resident in these countries and wish to travel to Hungary you are advised to contact the Honorary Consuls or the Embassy in Nairobi for information on how to apply for a visa.
