Hungarian President visits Parliament |
| Amman, Oct.
14 (Petra)—Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom on Tuesday visited the Lower House of Parliament and held talks with its Speaker Abdul Hadi Majali.
Majali voiced the Lower House’s unwavering support to moves spearheaded by His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Solyom aiming to further bolster mutual political, economic and cultural relations.
Majali briefed the Hungarian leader on the Kingdom’s parliamentarian, political and economic reforms in a bid to overcome contemporary challenges and to render Jordan a model of democracy, public participation, and social justice.
He said Amman’s vision to solve Palestinian-Israeli conflict is based on the two-state formula and guaranteeing the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state on Palestinian soil.
Majali commended bilateral ties as deep and stressed the urgent need to benefit from Hungarian expertise in the fields of tourism and agriculture.
He noted Jordan has a lucrative investment environment”.
