Rifai meets Hungarian President

Amman, 14.

Oct (Petra)--Senate President Zeid Rifai on Tuesday received visiting Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom.

Rifai said bilateral relations in various fields are strong and commended Hungary’s crucial role to forge a lasting settlement to the Mideast conflict and its relentless efforts to help achieve regional stability.

Rifai briefed the Hungarian leader on reforms lead by His Majesty King Abdullah II to ensure prosperity for Jordan’ people.

He stressed Amman’s resolve to go ahead with reformative measures despite developments engulfing the region.

He noted to the Kingdom’s vigorous moves to achieve peace in the region.

” The key to regional security and stability is through a just peaceful solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict “.

On his part, the Hungarian president stressed imminent need to further boost mutual parliamentary cooperation and hailed Jordan’s moderate policies, its pivotal role to consolidate regional stability and unequivocal support to the peace process.
