Mr. László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary is visiting India
At the invitation of Smt. Meira Kumar, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Mr. László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary is visiting India on November 24-30, 2012. The two Speakers exchange notes on state of play and furthering bilateral parliamentary relations. During the course of his official visit to Delhi, Mr. László Kövér pays a courtesy call on Shri Pranab Mukherjee, President of India too. Speaker Kövér is also visiting Darjeeling to commemorating the 170th anniversary of the death of Alexander Csoma de Kőrös (1784-1842) eminent Hungarian scholar making the first ever English-Tibetan Dictionary while living at Zangla Monastery in Zanskar in 1823. Alexander Csoma de Kőrös who is widely seen as the founder of Tibetology died and buried in Darjeeling.
