The Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi has learned from the Indian press the absurd allegations attributed to the Honorable Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, which could be interpreted as detrimental to the renown of Hungary.

The Embassy strongly believes that such allegations depart from the traditionally friendly Indo-Hungarian relations, based on shared values of democracy.

We are convinced that both Hungary and India will continue to further advance already outstanding bilateral relations in the spirit of mutual respect and various interests between the two countries.
