High Level Israeli Participation on the World Science Forum in Budapest

The Hungarian Academy of Sciences in partnership with UNESCO and ICSU organized the World Science Forum in Budapest November 16-19, 2011. On the conference both Prof. Daniel Herschkowitz, minister of Science and Technology and Prof. Ruth Arnon, the president of the Israeli Academy of Sciences delivered lectures. Prof. Herschkowitz spoke about the policy of science in Israel and he covered in more detail those special programs that aim at involving the periphery and the minorities into research. Prof. Ruth Arnon, who as a biologist also the vice-president of the Weizmann Institute, covered the topic of the possibilities and conditions for doing research in small countries.
