Hungarian Universities at the Dublin Higher Options exhibition

The Budapest based College International, acting on behalf of Hungarian Universities with an annual intake of foreign students, operated a stand at the Dublin Higher Options exhibition on 16-18 September, 2009. In the course of the exhibition, attended by thousands of students facing leaving cert examinations next year, lots of inquiries were made about third level studies in Hungarian universities. At the opening of the exhibition Sean Haughey TD, Minister for Lifelong Learning at the Department of Education and Science made a specific reference to the success of Irish-Hungarian cooperation in training students in the field of veterinary and medical sciences at Hungarian Universities.

Currently about 200 Irish students pursue third level studies at various Hungarian universities, the majority of them – 137 people – studying at the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the Szent István University.
