Who can apply for a Hungarian visa in Jakarta?-Nationals of Indonesia, those of the Philippines and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste-Persons living in Indonesia, the Philippines and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste with a Long Stay Permit-Nationals of any other country where Hungary doesn’t run a diplomatic mission (permanent or accredited).
Useful piece of informationHungary is not a member state of the Schengen Area yet. We issue a national visa. Hungarian visa issued entitles you to cross the Hungarian border only. Schengen visa does not entitle to enter Hungary. Schengen visa doesn’t entitle to enter Hungary for transit purpose either (except for nationals of Ukraine and those of Serbia-Montenegro).

A, B, C type visas are generally issued in 28 days (as part of a normal procedure).Specially prompt dispatch for C type visas takes usually 1-7 days.Decision making on D type visas lasts generally 4 weeks (or more).
Please note: the above is only a guideline. In specific cases visa issuing can take longer than the time indicated. Please do lodge your application on due time. The Consular Office can take over applications 90 day before your departure to Hungary. Specially prompt dispatch is not applied automatically. The Consular Office reserves the right to decide whether or not (and when) it is going to be applied.
LEGAL REDRESS1./ There is no room for legal remedy in case of eventual refusal of an A, B or C type visa applicaton. And again: visa fees are not refundable.2./ In case of such refusal the applicant has the right to re-apply (with the visa fee paid accordingly).3./ A decision in written form about the refusal of a D type application contains also a piece of information about legal redress.4./ If you have remarks or complaint against the Consular Office of the Embassy you may turn to the Head of Consular Department, the Head of the Diplomatic Mission or to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary, Budapest.
