On the 14th of March, 2008, a reception was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Beijing to commemorate the 160th anniversary of the revolution and freedom fight of 1848. The event was followed by the wreathing of the statue of Sándor Petőfi, poet of the revolution, at the Lu Xun museum by Mr. Sándor Kusai, ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the People’s Republic of China.
