Science & Technology (S&T) Relations

An Agreement on S&T Cooperation between the Government of Hungary and the Government of the People’s Republic of China was signed in 2002. For the purpose of implementing the provisions of the Agreement, a Joint Commission for S&T Cooperation has been established, which consist of governmental representatives and experts designated by each party. Members of the Joint Commission meet every other year, the last session being held in Budapest in 2010. The current prioritized fields of the bilateral S&T cooperation are the following: natural, medical, life, engineering, agricultural as well as environmental sciences. Hungary also maintains a fruitful bilateral cooperation at the academic, university and enterprise levels with China. The overall aim is to strengthen S&T cooperation between the two countries and identify further ways with this aim.
