Young Canadian musicians at the Embassy of Hungary

It was the fourth occasion that the Embassy of Hungary in association with The Friends of the National Arts Centre Orchestra hosted a festive event through “Music to dine for” program thus presenting once again an extraordinary opportunity for young Canadian musicians to further develop their artistic abilities and musical carrier. At the dinner offered by Ambassador Vastagh and his wife at their residency, members of the Stellae Boreales Senior Performance Group (Laura Telford, Laurent Cote, Alexandra Telford and Matthew Mifflin on violin) entertained the guests of the event by masterfully performing the well known Hungarian musical piece of Monti Czardas, following the Duo in G major, 1st and 2nd movements of A. Hoffmeister. In the second part of the program they presented the suite for 2 violins (3rd movement) of M. Moszkowski and La Folia of Geminiani.
