On June 5 he was welcomed by his Canadian colleague Minister Peter MacKay, with whom they discussed the future transformation of NATO, the participation in common initiatives, and other issues within bilateral cooperation. Minister Szekeres also met Mr. Larry Lashkevich, DG of Material System and Supply Chain and the Chairman of the Standing Committee on National Defence, Mr. Rick Casson. On June 6 he travelled to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and visited the NATO Flying Training Base where 24 Hungarian soldiers participate, as instructors and students, in the training.
