The Gala Ball was organized to celebrate the 70^th anniversary of the Centre that illustrates through its events that the sense of Hungarian heritage can be preserved in Canada too. The honourary guest of the Gala was Prince Georg von Habsburg, and among the special guests Minister of Immigration, Ms. Diane Finley, Mr. Tom Wappel, M.P. for Scarborough Southwest, Ms. Jane E. McGowan, President of the Red Cross of Canada and Dr. Sándor Beer, Consul General of the Republic of Hungary were included.
