March 19. Montreal: Vernissage of the exhibition “Reflections” of the Canadian-Hungarian Artists Collective at the Stewart Hall Art Galery.

September 27 - 30. Toronto: Academic Conference on 1956 at the University of Toronto (Munk Centre), in the framework of the new History Program.
September 29. Ottawa: Premiere of the film ‘Freedom’s Fury’ at the National Gallery Auditorium, organized by the Canada-Hungary Educational Foundation and Water Polo Canada.
September 30. Ottawa: Open screening of the film Freedom’s Fury organized by Canadian Film Institute. Venue: Library and Archives Canada.
October 3. Toronto: Inauguration of the George Faludy Park and Plaquette at St. Mary Street.
October 3. Ottawa: Photo exhibition on Canadian Hungarians who contributed to the fame and prosperity of Canada. Venue: National Arts Center.

October 20. Calgary: Commemoration by the Hungarian Arts and Heritage Foundation of Alberta with the participation of the local Hungarian community (Mount Royal College).

October 23. Toronto: Ceremonial hoisting of the national flag; reception – City Hall.
October 23. Calgary: Wreathing at the 1956 “Kopjafa”.
October 23. Vancouver: Commemoration and opening of the 1956 exhibition at the city library (organized by Peter Czink, editor-in-chief of New Hungarian Voice).
October 23. Victoria: 19.00 Commemorating ceremony by the Hungarian Society of Victoria at the main hall of the Conservatory of Music with the participation of local and neighbouring Hungarian organizations.
October 24. Toronto: Hoisting of the national flag before the Parliament of Ontario, ceremonial march. Venue: Queen’s Park. State reception at the building of the provincial Parliament.
October 25. Halifax: Opening the exhibition of CHAC (Canadian-Hungarian Artists Collective) - „Reflections” - at Pier 1.
October 28. Toronto: Gala dinner titled “Thank you Canada” with Canadian and Hungarian guests. Decoration ceremony at the Hungarian Canadian Cultural Centre.
October 31. Hamilton: Celebratory commemoration at the main hall of the Redemeer College at 3.00 p.m. with the participation of Canadian dignitaries, politicians and guests from Hungary.
November 4. Toronto: Lighting of candles, lowering of the flag – Budapest Park, Closing reception.
November 5. Hamilton: Commemoration at the 1956 Memorial (graveyard) with the participation of the local Hungarian community.
November 11. Lethbridge (Alberta): The Hungarian-Canadian Old Timer Society of Lethbridge wreathes the statue of Lethbridge heroes.
November 14-24. Montreal: Exhibition of on Hungarian migration. Venue: City Hall of Montreal.
