The Hungarian-Canadian relations are driven by a continuous and mutual desire to build strong partnership based on the existing strategic alliance between the two countries. Canada is considered to be Hungary’s important and reliable North American partner, the significant number and volume of investments in Hungary contributing to the vitality of our relations. The Hungarian community living in Canada is a great asset in the development of economic and social life of this country. (According to the 2001 census the number of Hungarian-Canadians in Canada is around 260.000, including those of the third and fourth generation.)
