Meeting at the Embassy with the director of the Hungarian Interchurch Aid and their Belarusian partner



In the framework of the regular meetings with civil societies, on September 12, 2012 a meeting was held at the Embassy with Mr. László Lehel, the director of the Hungarian Interchurch Aid, and with Mr. Nikolay Matrunchyk, the director of the Belarusian Interchurch Mission. In his greeting to the guests H. E. Mr. Vilmos Sziklavári, Ambassador of Hungary in Belarus underlined the importance what his country - and the Embassy - devotes to NGOs. Mr. Lehel informed the Ambassador on the activity of their organization and about their new social project in Belarus, which will be founded mostly by the European Union.

The Hungarian Interchurch Aid (HIA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 in Budapest by Hungarian protestant and orthodox churches – the Reformed, Lutheran, Methodist, Unitarian and Orthodox churches. By today HIA has become one of the most significant and internationally recognized Hungarian NGOs.
