The first half of 2011 was packed with exhibitions, travel fairs, concerts and film as well as food festivals to celebrate the Hungarian Presidency of the European Union. In 2012 Hungarian comedy films and food festivals will take place once again in spring. Our hope is that this will become an annual celebration for the people of Almaty to enjoy.

2nd Hungarian Food Festival (broshure)

Place: Hotel InterContinental, Almaty

From the 16-18 of March InterContinental Almaty’s Asian Café will play host to an authentic Hungarian Food Festival. Especially for the occasion, we will be flying in a top chef (Mr. István PLÓTÁR) from the Hotel Európa Fit in Hévíz, a spa town in Zala county Hungary. The hotel enjoys a wonderful location close to the second largest thermal lake in the world, renowned for its curative properties. The Festival promises to give guests a genuine flavour of Hungary with many delicious traditional Hungarian dishes on offer, including the soups, goulashes and desserts, for which the country’s cuisine is so famous. Guests will also enjoy a real insight into Hungarian culture and the unique experience afforded all who visit Hévíz’s Hotel Európa Fit.

2nd Hungarian Comedy Films Festival

Date: 30 March – 1 April 2012

Place: Cesar Cinema, Almaty

This year the Hungarian Comedy Films Festival will be organized again at the Cesar Cinema in cooperation with Oleg Boreckiy’s Kinoklub. There will be a weekend (Friday-Sunday) plenty of laughs, gags, love and romantic stories at the Cesar! (brochure in Russian)
