The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is a security organization with 57 Participating States. In its region it is the primary instrument for early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation.

The OSCE is the largest regional security organization, whose decisions are made on the basis of consensus of all Participating States.

The aim of the organization is the implementation of the principles and common values through the political commitments of the sovereign Participating States, according to the Helsinki Final Act, to the Istanbul Charter for European Security and to several other important documents,

The OSCE keeps pace with the challenges of globalization – it maintains contacts and cooperates closely with other international and non-governmental organizations in the field of counter-terrorism, extremism, intolerance, xenophobia, trafficking in human beings, trafficking of arms and narcotics, organised crime.
