The bilateral relations –high level visits.
The relations between the high levels are vivid. In the passed years President of the Republic of Hungary H.E. Árpád Göncz paid an official visit to Albania in 1996, which is followed by the visit of H.E. Rexhep Mejdani, President of the Republic of Albania of that time.
Between March 29–31. 2005 the President of the Republic of H.E. Hungary Ferenc Mádl had an official visit to Albania, later on, Fatos Nano, the Prime Minister of that time, had a working visit to Budapest on 19 May.
Invited by his Hungarian counterpart H.E. László Sólyom, the President of the Republic of Albania H.E. Alfred Moisiu visited Hungary between 14–15 June, 2006.
Ferenc Gyurcsány, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Hungary stayed for two days in Albania on 23–24 November, 2006 on the occasion of the Western Balkan Summit.
Katalin Szili, Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament had an official visit to Albania in November 30 and December 1, 2006.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Besnik Mustafaj paid an official visit to Hungary in February 28, till March 1. The head of the Albanian diplomacy met in Budapest with Sólyom László, President of the Republic and Gyurcsány Ferenc, Prime Minister, following the meetings with Göncz Kinga, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mandúr László, Vice Chairman of the Parliament. The bilateral negotiations between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, are followed with the signing of the agreement of co-operation between the chairmen of the Albanian and Hungarian customs.
On the invitation of Dr. Petrétei József, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Hungary, Aldo Bumci, Minister of Justice, visited Budapest on 1March, who together with his partner signed the co-operation agreement between the ministries.
